The Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica in collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, is hosting the Neurology symposium.
Neurology practice has evolved at a remarkable and exciting pace over the last two decades, driven by the advances of genetic technologies and paralleled by a similar progress in therapeutics. As a jobbing neurologist, it is challenging to keep abreast with all the advances made within the various neurology subspecialties. Our programme reflects, in a microcosm, the diversity of Neurology and its inherent complexity.
This symposium aims to discuss common neurological disorders and their management. Functional neurological disorders are commonly encountered in our practice, and we chose to discuss this, among other neurological topics, including management of functional neurological disorders with physical and psychological therapies. The symposium is aimed at neurologists, general physicians and GPs at various levels of their career and trainees from various specialties.
