Chancellor of the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences Jamaica (CSMJ), Professor Earl Spencer Taylor, will be honored with the appointment of the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander (CD), ‘for service to the consular Corp in Africa and the United Nations”, in Jamaica’s National Honours and Awards ceremony to be held on National Heroes Day, Monday October 15,2018.
The internationally renowned management expert and academic, previously served as a member of the board of directors of the CSMSJ, where he has been instrumental in establishing the Quality Assurance Systems and in attracting students from the African continent.
The 3-year old institution boasts among its academic staff, some of Jamaica’s leading physicians and lecturers which have also been enriched with equally outstanding lecturers from Cuba,USA, Africa and India. Both medical doctor (MD) and Pre-Med Programmes are offered by the CSMSJ, where a seamless transfer occurs from the latter to the former over a 16 -month period or 4 semester of rigorous study which is found to be extremely popular with students especially recent high school graduates.
