ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NATURAL & APPLIED SCIENCES

A distinguished medical career starts here. Our commitment is to provide students with a strong foundation on which they can build solid, durable careers. We offer a four (4) semester, two-year programme for High School graduates to fulfill prerequisites for entering the MD programme.

This programme is ideal for graduating high school students who are committed to studying medicine and are ready to begin their medical studies immediately after high school. It is also the path for non-traditional students who must complete prerequisite courses before being accepted to the medicine, dentistry, and veterinary sciences programme of their choice in Jamaica, the Caribbean, and North America.

These students will be able to do the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and can apply for General Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Sciences.

Once students complete the programme successfully, they will be transferred to the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences, Jamaica’s four (4) year MD programme. Students are awarded an Associate of Sciences in Natural and Applied Sciences (Pre-Med).
