Dr. Dyce hails from Cuba where she received secondary education and her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Camaguey, Cuba. She has experience working as a professor at the Medical Sciences Institute in Camagüey. She has also worked at the Guaimaro Municipal Hospital, in Nicaragua for two years; and Paediatric Hospital of Camagüey. She has been a genetics researcher since 1988 and has made several publications over the years.
