Personal Summary

Dr Sean Parkinson is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Co – Academic Program Coordinator at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital since 2019. He has a special interest and passion for Gynaecologic Oncology and High risk Obstetrics. He is an Associate lecturer in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of the West Indies Mona since 2018 and joined the staff at the Caribbean School of Medical Sciences (CSMSJ) in January 2022. He has been practicing in the Medical field for 16 years. He has an insatiable appetite for teaching and mentoring his medical students and Residents. He takes pride in being a keen listener as well as being thorough and meticulous during consultations with his patients. He has an unrelenting desire to rectify his patients’ complaints as well as to improve their quality of life through a holistic approach. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the West Indies, Mona in 2005. His degree was classified as Honours, Pass. He then began Postgraduate training at the University of The West Indies in 2011 and completed his Doctor of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2015 in the allotted 4 years. He has been a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists since October 2015.
